Damaged and non-running cars
Free inspection where the car stands, a straight offer, and collection with the right transport – you never have to drive it anywhere.
A car with accident damage, a failed engine or gearbox, a slipping clutch or a failed MFK inspection is hard to sell privately. Repairing it often costs more than the car would be worth afterwards, and people who answer a listing expect something they can drive home. The conversation then turns into a negotiation about the damage rather than the car. Those are exactly the cars we buy – including ones that no longer start.
We come to wherever the car is, whether that is your garage, a parking space or the yard of a recovery company, and look at it free of charge. You then get an offer that reflects the real condition rather than a guess from photos. A car without a valid MFK or with a safety-relevant fault should not be driven anywhere, so we agree the right transport in advance, collect it from where it stands and take care of the deregistration at the road traffic office.
Procedure
Get in touch — Tell us briefly what is wrong with the car, by form, phone or WhatsApp, ideally with a few photos.
On-site inspection — We come to wherever the car stands in Eastern Switzerland and look it over free of charge.
Offer and contract — You receive a non-binding offer; the price is only fixed once both signatures are on the purchase contract.
Collection and deregistration — The car is picked up with the transport agreed beforehand, you are paid at handover in cash against a receipt, and we handle the deregistration.
Questions
Do I have to bring the car to you?
No. A car that is not roadworthy or has no valid MFK inspection should stay where it is. We inspect it on site, agree the right transport beforehand and collect it from your home, the garage or the recovery yard.
Do you buy cars that no longer run?
Yes. A car with a failed engine, gearbox or clutch, or one written off after an accident, has little chance on the Swiss used-car market but can still find a buyer abroad. What we look at is the make, model, model year, mileage and which parts are still intact.
How is the offer put together, and which details help?
We start from the basics: make, model, body type, date of first registration, fuel, gearbox and mileage, plus a few photos of the exterior, the interior and the odometer. The more you tell us about equipment, service history, the last MFK inspection and any known faults, the closer the first estimate will be to the final purchase price. What shapes the value is age, mileage, condition, accident history, a complete service record and how much demand there is for that model. You are welcome to name the price you have in mind, but you do not have to.
